ABOUT US AT CHARMER LODGE

Charmer Lodge was originally established in 1980 on a 70 acre property at Luddenham. In 1990 they re-located to Londonderry (near Richmond) in the heart of greyhound territory in NSW. A family operated business, Steve and Marree Gyftos take great pride in offering to the breeder some of Australia’s best performed and outstanding bloodlines available today. Along with their daughter Helen Keegan and son in law Michael, there is always someone at hand to assist in any way. Our stud dogs are housed in an air conditioned, security block complex and are available for viewing by appointment to any breeder who may wish to do. The studs are kept in excellent condition and fed on the very best diet to keep them always at their peak. Along with a straight track for exercise, during the day in the cooler months they are able to take advantage of the midday sun by being housed in individual kennels with runs outside for a few hours per day. Air conditioned/fan cooled kennels are available to all broodbitches also. Fussy eaters are especially catered for as we believe your valuable broodbitch is what makes us a success. Charmer Lodge boasts an extremely high rate of getting your broodbitch into pup. This can be one of the most frustrating aspects of any breeder and one we take a strong view on. We progesterone test each broodbitch and this is carried out by a qualified vet. All tests are sent to a laboratory for expert appraisal. We feel this is a vital ingredient in achieving a pregnancy. Charmer Lodge is also able to have Frozen Semen of all their stud dogs made available to anyone who wishes to purchase. We have great success in this area as well and have semen available all over Australia and we would gladly discuss any needs with any breeder and offer an honest opinion.
