Ahane Lad had his last official race on the 8th of April at Shelbourne Park running a stunning 28.21 (fastest time in 2006) over the 525 yards when landing the Group 1 €50,000 Donal Reilly Easter Cup, on the 29th of April he was given a solo trial at Cork in which he failed to finish due to smashing his hock.
Ahane Lad is a son of the legendary Irish sire Larkhill Jo and Daffodil Dance (Vintage Prince x Wise Plan) from Pat Dalton's famous Maythorn Pride damline.
Ahane Lad, 32Kg contested all of his races over 525yards & 550yards
and won 15 races from 30 starts.
Daffodil Dance is a full sister to Premier County who is the sire of Shelbourne
Park Track Record holder Premier Fantasy. His grandmother is a sister to the
mother of Pacific Mile who was sold for €100,000 after a couple of starts.
