Calling the Costelloes

JOY and Jack Costelloe are floating around Australia at the moment, maybe oblivious to the fact their dog Uneek Fizeek has landed a Albion Park victory.
The daughter of Closing Argument-Jay Doubled landed a 710m 5th Grade at headquarters on Thursday night for trainer Rick Nelson.
She scored by a head over Call Me Rambo who flashed up late, with a neck to Bikini Beach in third. The winner ran 42.43.
"Joy and Jack live across the road from me at Bundamba," said Rick. "They load up the car, hook up the trailer and head on 18-week holidays around the country.
"I'm not sure they will know if this bitch has won tonight. If they happen to see the results, Joy will ring me."
Joy and Jack have been long-time greyhound breeders and bred Queensland greyhound of the year Winged Runner.
Rick is happy Joy gave him a chance with a few of the litter that includes Uneek Fizeek.
"I had a pup from the litter called Uneek Hope who broke in really well and looked very promising at the time," said Rick.
"But Joy had done a pup deal with a guy in Tasmania and the rest of the litter was down there.
"The reports were not good but I talked Joy into bringing her back to Queensland. Uneek Fizeek is one of those pups."
The bitch has now won five of her 34 starts but has also run nine seconds and 11 thirds. Thursday night's win was her first at Albion Park.
"Her only downfall is she is a bad box dog," said Rick. "She walks out. We'll keep her to the distance racing now that she has won over it.
"It was a great run last week when she was third to Irish Fantasy in a Best 8 at her first run over the distance."
Nelson has been in fantastic form as a trainer and has an unassailable lead in the Ipswich trainer's premiership.
"John Pay is throwing everything at me, but I've got too big a lead now," said Rick.
Jay Doubled, dam of Uneek Fizeek, was also given to Rick by the Costelloes. "Unfortunately she just missed to her latest mating," said Rick.
