A TRACK record breaking 630m trial at Ipswich has set Shadow Boxer up for his Chairman's Cup heat at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.

SHADOW Boxer did it with ease, and now will head off to Wentworth Park for Cup riches.
The son of Hallucinate-In My Dreams came from a clear last early, swept around the entire field approaching the home turn, but raced away to win a 600m 4th-5th Grade at Albion Park on Thursday night.

Genista’s luck turns
NEIL Falls was starting to ask himself when Genista Reign’s luck would turn.
It did on Thursday night at Albion Park when the son of Hallucinate-Smokey Whisky scored by a nose in a heat of the Big Dog Cup (600m).
He just held off the flashing finish of Sydney visitor Smart Betsy in 35.11.

Genista needs all to fall into place
RIVAL trainers Neil Falls and Bob Giltinan have differing opinions of their chances of toppling raging hot favourite Forty Twenty in Thursday night's Winter Chase (710m) final at Albion Park.
Falls will run likely leader Genista Reign, while Giltinan has three in the final, Smart Choice, She's A Penske and the second reserve Nicely Done.
Giltinan won the Winter Chase in 2008 with Nicely Done before she went on to finish a game third to Chinatown Lad in the Group 1 Gold Cup.
Youthful Northern Rivers trainer Neil Falls reported Genista Reign (Hallucinate-Smokey Flash) had pulled up well after his all the way heat win last week.

Track records come and go but something really special happened at Nowra on Monday.
Brett Lee’s amazing 28.88 seconds effort in an Adelaide Cup is, arguably, the most ‘untouchable’ in the land. That remarkable effort found not one but two close relations at Nowra.
