In just his second start for new trainer Jason Thompson, the three-and-a-half year old claimed his first group race win last Sunday when snaring the Horsham Cup, which boasts a first prize of $25,000. Having made 7 group finals in his previous 39 starts, it was a fitting result for all concerned. "I sent him to Victoria with a view to Jason standing him at stud once he retires." "We thought it was best for him to have a few starts in Victoria before he goes to stud to show Victorians how good he is", Finn said on Radio Sport 927 on Tuesday. Thompson is the studmaster at Awesome Lodge in Pearcedale.
